Irene Lungu Chipili

Irene has a diverse portfolio in strategic communication embracing environmental management, Corporate Social Responsibility, and governance. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Zambia (UNZA), a Master of Science in Project Management from Cavendish University and a Master of Public Relations from the National Institute of Public Administration.

She is currently Head Corporate Affairs and Marketing at the Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation PLC (ZAFFICO). Prior to joining ZAFFICO, she served in various portfolios at the Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA), Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry and Zambia Association for Research and Development (ZARD). She also previously served on the Boards of the National HIV/ AIDS/STI/TB Council and Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA).

Irene is a Fellow and current president of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC), Board of Director of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (GA) and Trustee for Young Women in Action (YWA).
